Vickie's Musical ActsVickie van Dyke's Musical Acts
Vickie says “It’s pretty simple - if I love the song and I can put some kind of jazzy spin on it, I’ll sing it!” She’ll also tear at your heart with classics like “Send In The Clowns”, “If” and “La Vie En Rose” (which she does sing in French!). Her jazz band features Smooth Jazz keyboardist of the year nominee Stan Fomin (whose original music is heard on Smooth Jazz WAVE 94.7), guitarists Steve Manning and Robert Tardik (also heard on Smooth Jazz WAVE 94.7) and Carson Freeman on the sax (soon to be heard on 94.7). Guest players (Kelly Stronach, Mike Stronach, Les Huyler, Paul Stouffer, Teo and many others) often sit in too. That Jazzy 70s Show features a tribute to the great singer-songwriters of that decade, with three part harmonies provided by Vickie, Susan Sinclair and Nancy Kuhl. The band is available as a trio, quartet or quintet, for private parties and functions, charity galas, jazz festivals and restaurants and clubs.
