Vickie' Musical Acts

The Vickie van Dyke QuartetHer jazz band features Smooth Jazz keyboardist of the year nominee Stan Fomin, piano man Kevin Wideman, guitarists Steve Manning and Robert Tardik and Carson Freeman on the sax. Smooth Jazz Piano

Stan FominStan Fomin (piano) studied at the Kiev Glier College of Music and Donetsk Conservatory of Music in Ukraine. His love of performing, arranging and composing then took him across the former Soviet Union and Western Europe, first touring with the Army Band and later as the Music Director for the German cruise line Dolphin Seeraisen.

Since coming to Canada in 1997, Stan has studied Contemporary Film Scoring and Production at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, composed for television and film, and in June/04 several of his compositions (written for The Bob Brough and Stan Fomin Jazz Quartet) were performed live at the Ottawa International Jazz Festival, where Stan opened for Herbie Hancock’s All Stars Band. Several cuts from his debut CD - Smooth Session - are currently being played on Canada’s Smooth Jazz station - WAVE 94.7.

Stan was nominated for Keyboardist of The Year at the 2006 Canadian Smooth Jazz awards!

Hailing from the deep woods of Grey County, Nancy Kuhl learned to harmonize at a very young age, primarily so she could hear her own voice amidst the crowd of eight other Kuhl kids. | Explore |
